Setting Out a Perimeter in the ASO 1st Organised Industrial Zone
The first thing that shapes what Sincan needs from a perimeter is the ASO 1st Organised Industrial Zone. Heavy industry plants, machinery manufacturers and logistics stores stand side by side there. The plots are large, boundary lengths are measured in hundreds of metres, and on most of these premises the perimeter is built not merely to mark the limit but to keep the area under control outside shift hours.
On a large plot the most decisive choices are the height and the post spacing. Opening the spacing out on a long run lowers the material line, but it also lets the fence sway in the wind and drift out of alignment over time. Where a plant needs real control, close-mesh systems such as 358 high security fence are chosen for the critical frontages rather than for the whole boundary, and the remaining runs are completed with more economical products. That mixed approach moves the budget to where the risk is concentrated.
On a long boundary it is not always possible to finish the work in one go. In that case the right approach is to split the run into phases but to choose the system at the outset; when the product changes in the second phase, the difference between the two runs shows up in appearance and in security alike. Ending each phase at a gate or a corner also keeps the joints clean.
At Logistics Stores the Lorry Traffic Sets the Gate
At most of the storage premises in Sincan the entrance gate works all day long. The turning radius of articulated lorries, trailers and container vehicles pushes the gate width above the sizes people are used to. When the gate is chosen, it is not only the clear opening that has to be worked out but also where the gate travels as it opens.
At entrances where the ground level varies, or where a rail is not wanted, a cantilever sliding gate is preferred; because the leaf moves sideways without touching the ground, snow, mud and spilled material do not stop it working. On level ground where a rail can be laid, rail-guided solutions are more economical. When you give the gate size, measure the length of the clear run the gate slides into as well as the opening; when that measurement is forgotten, the gate will not seat properly once it reaches site.
On gates that work all day, wear begins in the moving parts long before the main frame. Wheels, guides and stops wear quickly once dirt and damp get into them. That is why it matters that water does not collect where the gate stands and that the ground does not fall towards the gate. At busy entrances, leaving a separate staff crossing beside the gate also cuts down needless cycles of the large one.
Farmland and Cattle Units on the Yenikent Side
As Sincan opens out towards the countryside the fabric changes; industrial plots give way to farmland and cattle units. What is needed there is nothing like industry. The point is to stop the animals getting out, to keep wildlife from getting in, and to close a long line at a sensible cost.
On long field runs, welded mesh panel and similar wire systems put less load per metre on the budget than rigid panel systems. Height can be raised economically by adding a row along the top of the run. If a tractor and trailer will be entering the land, leaving a wide-opening field gate is far healthier than cutting the line open later on.
In livestock work the mesh aperture and the level at the bottom of the line matter more than the height. Sheep and goats tend to push underneath, while cattle lean against the line; the first calls for the gap at the bottom to be closed, the second for post strength. On land under pressure from wildlife, running an extra row along the bottom gives a better result than raising the top.
The Residential Side in Törekent, Fatih and Yenikent
Sincan is a dense residential district at the same time. In Törekent, Fatih and Yenikent it is estate gardens, car park boundaries, the edges of play areas and the gardens of detached houses that call for enclosing. What is sought here is less deterrence than an orderly boundary that is easy to look after and lasts.
The most common mistake on estate work is one person judging the measurement by eye. For a fence going on top of a garden wall, the top width of the wall, whether there is existing steel in it and the difference in level all have to be measured separately. Telling the committee at the outset that the quotation is read as VAT included also prevents a misunderstanding at the decision meeting.
Another detail on the residential side is whether the line falls on a boundary shared with the neighbour. Work carried out on a shared boundary becomes a structure the neighbour uses as well, so which side the line sits on and which plot the posts stand in should be agreed at the start. Objections raised afterwards usually end with the line being taken down and moved across.
Wind and Post Choice on the Open Sincan Plain
The Sincan side is more open country than the inner parts of the city. A run with no tall buildings around it takes the wind load head on. It is the post that carries that load, not the wire or the panel. If the post section, the embedment depth and the corner braces are neglected, the line begins to lean within a few seasons.
| Ground and position | Post approach | Additional measure |
|---|---|---|
| Open land, soil ground | Set into concrete | Braces at the corners |
| Concrete yard, inside the plant | Flange fixing | Anchor diameter and slab thickness |
| Long straight run | Keeping the spacing tight | Intermediate tensioning points |
| Run with a change in level | Stepped layout | Closing the gap at the bottom |
On soil the economical and long-lasting answer is the concrete post, which is unaffected by damp and works well with wire systems. Inside a plant, on a concrete yard, a steel tube post is fixed down with a flange instead.
After the wind, the second factor is the swing in temperature. Wire systems installed under tension slacken in summer and tighten in winter; the tensioning allowance left at installation absorbs that movement. Leaving more allowance than needed makes the line sag, while leaving none at all puts strain on the fixing points.
Covering the 22 Kilometres in a Single Shipment
Sincan is 22 km from our depot in Ostim, and items held in stock can be dispatched the same day. On large plot work, though, the real gain lies in the material travelling in one go. Sending a second vehicle out for a handful of missing posts costs time and haulage both.
The way to avoid that is to work out the running meters before ordering, with the gate openings, the number of corners, the braces and the fixings included. A haulage charge applies to every shipment; delivery is always charged, including within Ankara. Whether a vehicle can get onto the site, and where it will be unloaded, should be settled before it sets off.
The second subject in the shipment plan is unloading. Bundles of panels and posts are not a weight to be handled by hand; if there is no forklift or similar equipment on site, what the vehicle can manage on its own has to be discussed in advance. Without that conversation the vehicle waits on site and the job drags on.
Site Survey, Installation and Pricing Terms
A site survey is free within Ankara, and Sincan falls inside that. A measurement taken on the ground always gives a more reliable result than running meters estimated from a distance. Installation is not a service given on every job; our teams attend projects of approximately 1000 metres and above, and below that scale the material is delivered and applied by your own team.
Prices include VAT. If your enquiry states the boundary length, the height you are aiming for, the number and width of the gates, the ground type and whether the land slopes, a workable price comes back in a single exchange.
FAQ
Sincan — common questions
How quickly do you deliver to Sincan?
Sincan is 22 km from our depot in Ostim. Items held in stock can be dispatched the same day; once the order is confirmed the vehicle can set off within the same day.
How do we get a quotation for our plant in the ASO 1st Organised Industrial Zone?
Send us the boundary length, the height you are aiming for, the number and width of the gates and the ground type. A site survey is free within Ankara, so the measurement can also be taken on the ground.
Is delivery free?
No. A haulage charge applies to every shipment, and delivery is always charged, including within Ankara.
Do you install fencing on jobs under 1000 metres?
No. Our teams attend projects of approximately 1000 metres and above. On smaller runs the material is delivered and your own team carries out the work.
Which system is more economical for farmland and cattle unit fencing?
On long runs wire systems come out lower in cost per metre. On soil, lines built with concrete posts are unaffected by damp, so the maintenance load stays low in the long term as well.
How far apart should the posts be on open land?
It is the post that carries the wind load; opening the spacing further than necessary makes the line lean over time. The exact spacing follows the system chosen, the height and the ground, and braces have to be used at the corners.
Are quoted prices VAT inclusive?
Yes. Every price we quote includes VAT.
