General Provisions

This text sets out the conditions applicable to the use of the website at ankaratel.com and to the orders placed through it. By using the site you are deemed to have accepted these conditions. The seller is AnkaraTel.

Product Information and Images

The product descriptions, dimensions and technical specifications on the website are for information purposes. Values such as wire diameter, mesh spacing, weight and coating thickness may vary within the tolerances accepted in the industry, depending on the production batch. Product images are representative; because of differences in colour, texture and lighting, there may be visual differences between what appears on your screen and the product delivered.

Prices

• All prices published on the website include VAT. The tax base and the VAT amount are shown as separate lines in the order summary.
• Prices are in Turkish Lira.
• Because steel and raw material prices fluctuate, prices may be changed without prior notice. The price at the time of the order applies.
• In the event of obvious pricing errors caused by the system or by a typing mistake, we reserve the right not to fulfil the order and to refund the amount paid. In such a case you will be informed immediately.
• The unit price may be lower for high-volume work; a project-based quotation is provided for such work.

Orders and Formation of the Contract

An order placed from the basket is a purchase request submitted to us. The contract is formed once we have checked stock availability, the production time and the delivery charge and confirmed them with you. After the order we call you to clarify the delivery charge and the delivery time.

Payment

Payments are made by bank transfer/EFT to the bank accounts communicated to you after the order is placed. Writing your order number in the description field is necessary so that your payment can be matched quickly. No credit card information is collected or stored on our website. The shipment is scheduled once your payment reaches our account.

Delivery and Shipping

• Delivery is always charged, including within Ankara. We do not offer free shipping.
• The delivery charge is not included in the product price; it is calculated according to distance, tonnage, volume and unloading conditions and is stated as a separate item in the order confirmation.
• Most of our products are heavy and bulky; shipment may be made by part-load or full truck rather than by parcel courier.
• Unloading from the vehicle is the buyer's responsibility. For deliveries requiring a forklift, a crane or sufficient manpower, these must be available on site.
• Delivery times vary depending on stock availability and the shipping schedule; they are stated in the order confirmation.
• Site survey is free within Ankara. The survey being free does not make the delivery free.

What to Do When Taking Delivery

When taking delivery of the product, the quantity and any visible damage must be checked before the delivery vehicle leaves. If anything is missing or damaged, a report must be drawn up with the carrier and we must be notified the same day. For shipments accepted without such a report, it may not be possible to meet claims for transport-related damage.

Right of Withdrawal, Cancellation and Returns

In distance sales made in the capacity of a consumer, under the relevant legislation you have a right of withdrawal within 14 days of the date you take delivery of the product, without giving any reason. You may send your withdrawal notice to info@ankaratel.com.

Points to note when exercising the right of withdrawal:

• The product must be unused, uncut and in resaleable condition.
• For products cut to measure or manufactured specifically to order (such as cutting by the linear metre, or custom-sized gates and panels), the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised under the legislation.
• For returns where the right of withdrawal is exercised, the cost of return shipping is borne by the buyer; because of the volume and weight of our products, this cost may be high.
• The refund is made once the product has reached us and been inspected.
• For defective goods or products sent in error, the costs of return and replacement are borne by us.

Commercial or corporate purchases (sales where the invoice is issued in a company's name) do not fall within the scope of consumer legislation; for such orders, the cancellation and return conditions are determined by mutual agreement.

Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Our products are covered against manufacturing and material defects within the framework of the relevant legislation. However, the following situations fall outside that scope:

• Problems arising from incorrect installation, inadequate foundations or installation on unsuitable ground
• Damage caused by impact, collision, overloading and misuse
• Damage caused by natural disasters, floods, storms and extraordinary weather conditions
• Surface corrosion resulting from the paint and coating being scratched during use
• Failure to follow the maintenance instructions

Installation is not a standard service; our teams attend projects of approximately 1000 metres and above only. For other work the product is delivered, installation is arranged by the buyer, and no liability is accepted for the consequences of that installation.

Intellectual Property

The texts, product descriptions, images, logo and design elements on the website belong to AnkaraTel. They may not be copied, reproduced or published on any other medium without written permission.

Resolution of Disputes

These conditions are governed by Turkish law. In disputes arising from consumer transactions, the Consumer Arbitration Committees and the Consumer Courts have jurisdiction according to the monetary thresholds. In disputes of a commercial nature, the courts and enforcement offices of Ankara have jurisdiction.

Changes

These conditions may be updated without prior notice. The conditions in force on the date you place your order apply to that order. The current version is always published on this page.
