Where Is the 100x200 cm Panel Used?

Welded mesh is a ready-made panel produced by joining wires at their intersections with resistance spot welding. The 100x200 cm size is exactly 2 square metres and the most practical dimension for one person to handle. It is widely used for poultry runs and cages, garden partitions, greenhouse edges, animal shelters, internal warehouse divisions and formwork on site.

Unlike rolled wire mesh, the panel stands on its own. It needs no tensioning and is fixed directly to a post or profile. On small-scale work this shortens installation time noticeably.

Choosing the Mesh Opening

A 4x4 cm opening is the most requested for this panel size: closed enough, with balanced material cost. Where smaller animals must be kept out, a 3x3 cm opening is preferred; the tighter the mesh, the more wire per square metre and the higher the price.

The panel is galvanised; outdoors the zinc layer provides the first defence against corrosion. In permanently damp environments, PVC-coated alternatives last longer.

How Many Panels Do You Need?

Divide the area to be covered by 2 square metres; since a few centimetres of overlap are left where panels meet, adding a small allowance to the total is realistic. Clips or wire are used to join panels to one another. Send us your measurements and we will list the panel count and fixings together.
