Where Is the 240 cm Concrete Post Preferred?

Once the foundation section is deducted, a 240 cm concrete post gives roughly 180-200 cm of working height. That makes it the standard post for 150 cm and 180 cm panel fencing and wire mesh. It is the length most often requested around factories, warehouses, schools, housing estates and sports grounds.

As a straight type it carries no barbed wire arm on top; if you need a higher security level, the angled (NATO type) post is the one to choose. Because it looks plainer, the straight post is also popular on residential perimeters.

Installation and Spacing

Foundation depth for a 240 cm post is usually 50-60 cm. The taller the post, the greater the wind load, so the foundation goes deeper — and deeper still in loose ground. With panel fencing the spacing follows the panel width; with wire mesh it is kept between 2.5 and 3 metres.

Struts at corners and beside gates are essential. When the wire is tensioned, the horizontal force on the corner post is at its highest there; without a strut, a corner post will lean over time.

Quantity and Ordering

With panel fencing the post count matches the panel count, plus a few extra for corners and terminations. With wire mesh, dividing the run by the spacing is enough. Send us your total metrage and we will list posts and panels together; the unit price falls at higher volumes.
